Katie LaRoe

LCSW - Lead Therapist Facilitator

Kathryn "Katie" LaRoe is a licensed therapist with an impressive academic and professional background. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master's in Social Work, specializing in military and mental health. Her qualifications include being a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II, a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider, and a Psychedelic Preparation/Integration Specialist.

Katie's approach to therapy is integrative, focusing specifically on the consciousness of trauma. Since 2008, she has dedicated herself to working with Veterans, including those in Special Operations, in the realm of plant medicine. Her work emphasizes preparation for states of expanded consciousness, employing a range of modalities that cater to the mind, body, soul, and subtle energy systems. She delves deeply into the shadow aspects of humanity, uncovering the grace and wisdom hidden within.

With over 20 years of experience in states of expanded consciousness, Katie has both observed and personally benefited from the healing powers of plant medicines, breathwork, meditation, and present-moment focus. She holds profound gratitude for her teachers, who imparted their wisdom and rites of passage from diverse traditions including yogic, Native American, Shipibo, and Bwiti practices. These experiences have not only enhanced her internal healing abilities but also enriched her skills in navigating the various realms of the psyche for trauma resolution.

Residing in Southern California with her husband, Michael "Punky," and their mastiff, Hank, Katie enjoys a life filled with activities that complement her professional pursuits. Her interests include hiking, singing, meditation, breathwork, and maintaining a focus on the present moment.
